Cathay Management

Paul Phelan , 22 January 2009 – 9:26 pmMake a Comment

The retirement of Cathay Pacific’s Airport Services Manager, Sydney, Brian Davis (“The Bear”) has triggered a series of management changes at Cathay’s Sydney regional office.

Ian Stark, a 30-year Cathay veteran, will replace Brian as Airport Services Manager, Sydney. Since joining Ian has held a number of sales and marketing positions and was appointed to his current position of Manager Sales, NSW/ACT in 1998.

Richard Jones, currently Business Development Manager, Queensland is replacing Ian in the re-titled position of Business Development Manager, NSW/ACT. Richard joined the company in 1994 and has served in a number of sales roles, being appointed BDM, QLD in 2002.

Taking over as Business Development Manager in Queensland is Howard Field, who moves from his Melbourne role as Corporate Account Manager, Victoria. He joined the airline in Melbourne in 1991 and was appointed to his present position in 2002.

Current Business Development Executive, Melbourne, Paul Wagland, with extensive airline sales experience, is appointed Corporate Account Manager, Victoria.

The moves will be effective on February 1.
