Bizjet Leader Expands Into Asia
ExecuJet Aviation Group has further grown its international and local business presence in Asia Pacific, by adding new aircraft maintenance facilities in Kuala Lumpur to its new capabilities in Melbourne and Brisbane.

The leading global business aviation organisation has signed an agreement with a Malaysian aviation company for the provision of hangar and maintenance facilities with a number of technicians operating from this newly established base at Subang Airport, Kuala Lumpur.
In December 2008 ExecuJet Australia won rights to establish a Bombardier Authorised Service Facility for South East Asia in Kuala Lumpur, and maintenance services for the Malaysian and surrounding regional based customers will include heavy level aircraft maintenance, mobile repair party support and maintenance control.
ExecuJet’s new fully independent and approved facility at Essendon Airport can accommodate two aircraft up to the size of a Bombardier Global Express or a Gulfstream 550 in addition to four mid size jets in the new hangar. Maintenance support covers most wide-bodied aircraft and medium range jets such as Global Express, Gulfstream, Challengers, Citations and Hawkers. Support services include aircraft movements, maintenance ranging from turnaround service requirements to heavy maintenance such as gear restorations on wide-body aircraft and phase 5 inspections on Citations. The facility is professionally staffed with a number of licensed and certified engineers.
ExecuJet’s Melbourne maintenance facility also has the capacity to support turboprop aircraft due to the company’s affiliation with engine manufacturers such as Honeywell for the TPE 331 powered aircraft and Pratt & Whitney for PT6 powered aircraft. With numerous turboprop aircraft in the local market, the facility is well placed to provide aircraft owners and operators with quality maintenance and OEM support. A comprehensively equipped fixed base operation (FBO) is envisaged for ExecuJet’s Essendon location in the near future due to customer demand for onsite offices, lounges and crew facilities.
The recently announced Brisbane maintenance and FBO facility is now under construction with an expected completion date in September. The facility will predominantly cater for aircraft management and maintenance requirements and as with Melbourne will have the capacity to support warranty repair work on the entire Bombardier family of business aircraft, namely the Global, Challenger and Learjet series.
The Group is a leading global business aviation organisation offering a diverse range of services including pre-owned and new aircraft sales, aircraft management, aircraft charter, aircraft maintenance, aircraft completions management and fixed base operations. Headquartered in Zurich, it has operations in Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, Middle East and South Africa, embracing a workforce of over 860 experienced staff.
ExecuJet manages 150 business jets worldwide, its commercial fleet operating under the regulatory umbrella of eight regional civil aviation issued air operating certificates (AOCs). The group is also a sales representative and dealer across four continents for Bombardier Business Aircraft’s family of Learjet, Challenger and Global Express business jets, and is an exclusive sales agent outside North America for the eight to 12-passenger Aerion Supersonic Business Jet.
Last year the also Group unveiled its new jet ownership program SimplyFly, tailored for high net worth individuals and corporations. The concept provides a one-stop shop service incorporating aircraft acquisition, management, maintenance and operations. The program offers whole aircraft availability at predictable costs, with a dedicated crew, the option to earn charter revenue and the ability to take the aircraft over completely at the end of its lease term.
