Another boost for Hawker Pacific’s Asia capability

Paul Phelan , 6 February 2010 – 9:41 pmMake a Comment

Dassault has selected Hawker Pacific to provide product support for its Falcon 7X customers based in Asia, following the newly certified high-end business jet’s entry into service later this month.

Through its Singapore Service Centre and joint venture Shanghai Hawker Pacific facility which is soon to be launched, the company also will aid Dassault in introducing the all-new aircraft into China in the second quarter of this year.

Dassault expects the tri-engined Falcon 7X to share the long haul market dominance of Bombardier’s Global Express and Gulfstream’s GV corporate jet offerings, with comparable payload/range performance and the added enticement of three-engined peace of mind on remote area and trans-oceanic routes.

With a range of 5,950 nm (eight passengers, M.80 with NBAA IFR reserves), the aircraft can comfortably connect 95 per cent of the commonly used business aviation city pairs worldwide.

The Falcon 7X which has been on display at the Singapore Air Show will now enter service in India, followed by expected deliveries to China in March, April and June of this year.

Further deliveries into both Malaysia and Singapore are also expected later in the year, with Hawker Pacific’s appointment providing full front line technical support to the new type. The facility is the first outside the USA and Europe to be recognised as an accredited Dassault Falcon Jet Authorized Service Centre and an authorized service centre for the Falcon 7X.

John Riggir,Hawker Pacific’s Vice President, Asia, said the company had enjoyed a strong relationship with Dassault Falcon that commenced in Australia 30 years ago:

“Our Singapore Service Centre now carries Dassault Falcon jet accreditation to perform major inspections across multiple models and holds a strategic inventory valued at over US$1.5M on site to support the complete range of Dassault Falcon’s rapidly growing fleet around the Asia Pacific and wider region. We are committed to providing a high level of support to all Asia based operators as well as visiting aircraft. Dassault Falcon recognises Hawker Pacific’s ability to provide world class services to global operators.”

In Singapore the company currently holds multiple regulatory approvals across 15 countries including FAA, EASA, China, and India and has applied for UAE approvals to expand its service offering to reach an even wider customer base.

Hawker Pacific says: “The Dassault Falcon 7X was the first large cabin jet to be simultaneously certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). It is powered by three Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307A engines, which enhance airfield performance and offer proven reliability and fuel efficiency.”
